As Israeli’s endless military bombardment intensifies, at least 61 people were killed on 28 August in the eastern and southern neighborhoods of Gaza City, including 19 aid seekers, medical sources told Al Jazeera, according to Aljazeera news. Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis due to malnutrition and starvation in the enclave is worsening day by day. The Israeli military has been preparing to take Gaza City, despite international calls to reconsider the move over fears of significant casualties and tragic displacement.  UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is appealing to the Israeli government to drop the plan. UPF Conference on “Family-Orientated Policies for Sustainable Development” Successfully Held in Vienna

In 1993, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution to celebrate May 15th as “International Day of Families” worldwide. To mark the occasion, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Austria, together with the Family Federation for World Peace, the Austrian Women’s Federation, and the Iranian Wisdom House Vienna, organized a conference on May 17th addressing the topic of “Family-Orientated Policies for Sustainable Development”.
