The draft of the EU supply chain directive in February 2024 has failed to be approved unanimously by the member states.  The EU directive is intended to oblige companies to be more responsible in their supply chain. Specifically, corporations with 500 or more employees and an annual turnover of 150 million euros should monitor their direct and indirect suppliers for violations of human and environmental rights.
