“Pocket Park” is a vivid description of a mini park. It is a small open space to the public. These small and beautiful pocket parks in Hedong District can be seen through the windows of the residential areas, thus very much loved by the inhabitants. “Covering with green” has become a trend in Hedong. Last year, there were 47 new pocket parks being built in the district. Among them, Tinglan Park was evaluated the “Most Beautiful Pocket Park” in Linyi City Center.  The district administration has established a long-term mechanism in to comprehensively manage the maintenance of these pocket parks….

Hedong District is embarking on building a “cultural and tourism district” right now. The district is taking the opportunity of Shandong Province Cultural Tourism Industry Conference to showcase its strength with the highlight in Tangtou Hot Spring Tourist Resort which is a national tourist resort. A riverside ecological and cultural corridor of “one city, one park, one belt and two major areas” is under construction.
